Everything your place can do on Munchl.

Each tool explained, with the exact rules it follows. Features marked Pro are part of Munchl Pro.

01 / Your page and claiming

Your page and claiming

Your place is almost certainly listed already. Claiming it gives you full control of the page and unlocks the dashboard.

Claim privately

Send a claim request from the app (or the form on this site). Munchl verifies you're the owner, then links the place to your establishment account. The "Unclaimed listing" banner disappears.

Edit on the live page

Open your own page in edit mode to change it where customers see it, or use "Edit page details" for the full form: name, address, phone, cuisines, price level, venue type, hours and description.

Six tabs

Info, Menu, Media (your gallery plus approved customer photos), Deals, Events, and Tagged (every post customers made at your place).

Storefront picture

Until you add photos, your page may show your storefront from Google Street View. You can adjust the angle if it shows the shop next door.

Verified partner badge

Places that partner with Munchl get the blue check next to their name. It's set by Munchl only and can't be self-applied.

Where the data came from

Addresses and hours from OpenStreetMap; missing hours and menu facts (names, prices, sections; never descriptions or photos) read from your own website, respecting robots.txt. Anything you edit replaces it.

03 / Orders

Orders

Orders arrive as tickets in your dashboard (and, if you connect it, in your own POS). There are three sources and three fulfilment types.

FulfilmentHow the customer chooses itWhat your ticket shows
At a tableWithin 250 m of you; table number typed or scanned from your QR code. Can also be scheduled.Table number, items and quantities, note and allergies
PickupOffered for every place, ASAP or scheduled up to a week aheadPickup name and time, live "~N min away" when the customer shares arrival
DeliveryAddress typed or filled from the customer's live locationDelivery address; "Start delivery" and "Delivered" buttons

Order sources

A post's Order button (only the dishes that post tagged), your page's full menu, and your table QR codes. Orders from posts carry the post and creator as attribution.

Statuses

Placed → accepted → ready / completed, or cancelled. Each change sends the customer a push notification and updates their live tracking. New orders notify you too.

Allergies and requests

The customer's saved allergens and diets are added as "ALLERGIES: …", followed by their free-text requests. Treat it as safety-critical; the API exposes allergies as a separate field.

Delivery with your own staff

Munchl has no courier fleet. Whoever taps "Start delivery" on a ticket shares that phone's location with the customer until "Delivered", which completes the order and clears the location.

Scheduled tables become reservations

Turn on "Reservations from orders" and a table order scheduled for later also creates a real reservation. Off by default.

Orders on or off

Switch off "Orders in the app" to keep your menu visible with no ordering. The server rejects orders to a place that has it off, so there are no surprises.

04 / Tables and QR codes

Tables and QR codes

Table ordering with nothing but paper.

Printable codes

Generate a QR code per table from your dashboard and print it. Scanning opens your menu with the table already filled in, even in a browser without the app.

munchl.com/t/<place>/<table>

Shared tables

Guests at the same table can join one table session and split the bill between them. Sessions expire automatically after 8 hours.

05 / The door

The door: queue, waits, entry and bookings

Every one of these is optional and switched on from your dashboard.

Walk-in queue

Customers take a numbered ticket from your page and see how many people are ahead of them, without seeing anyone else's details. You call the next number from the queue screen and they get a notification. Numbers restart daily.

One active ticket per person per place; numbers assigned server-side under a lock.

Wait time

Show your current wait on your page. The queue is offered only while wait time is on. Nothing is held on a table; it's not a reservation.

Skip the Line

Sell a skip-the-line pass at the price you set, for any type of venue. Toggle it and set the price in your dashboard.

Entry fee

Show an entry fee and any free-entry conditions ("free before 23:00") on your page.

Reservations

Customers request a table from your Info tab. Requests move through requested, confirmed, seated, completed or cancelled, in the app or via the API.

06 / Posts, events and deals

Posts, events and deals

How what you publish is distributed.

You postWhere it appears
A videoGlobal feed (everyone) and your page
PhotosYour page's Media tab and your Local card; not the Global feed
An event (composer "Event" chip, with start and end)Your Events tab; promoted on Global with Munchl Pro until it ends
A post tagging one of your dealsYour page with a deal chip; promoted on Global with Munchl Pro

Promotion is labelled Pro

Promoted event and deal posts appear on Global as full-width cards with a call to action, at most one after every five posts. They're never mixed into the ranking of normal posts.

Deals

Create offers on any item or a specific dish, for a set duration. Public deals are free; with Munchl Pro you can aim a deal at your preferred customers or a selected list. Short deals read like a story, long-running ones like a highlight.

Tag your dishes

Your own posts can tag your menu items, giving viewers an Order button with exactly those dishes.

The Tagged tab

Every customer post that tags you, collected on your page. Only posts with a confirmed visit reach other people's Discover feed.

07 / Win back

Win back

The people who saved you but haven't been are your warmest audience. Win back lets you reach exactly them.

Who appears Pro

Customers who bucketlisted your place, never visited, and are past their personal waiting time.

Timing per person

Worked out when they save you: about 7 days if they're local and it's a usual time for them to be around you, 4 days if it's an unusual time, 36 hours if they're travelling through.

The deal Pro

Send a targeted deal that only those people can see. It shows in their app like any other offer; no extra setup for them.

What you never see

Their location, movement patterns, email or phone number. Only that they saved you and haven't been yet.

08 / Analytics
